Focus Areas
Maximilian Pfertner currently serves as co-project lead in the MCube integration project EPURA, working throughout the process from evaluation to replication/application to improve the transfer of research findings into practice. He is a member of the MCube Strategy Team and, together with Gebhard Wulfhorst and Marcus Peter (HVV), co-leads the FGSV Working Group on Accessibility Planning. In 2025, he completed his PhD on a multi- and intermodal accessibility model for employment locations. The thesis received a top 4 placement in the 2025 Carl Pirath Prize, awarded by the Deutsche Verkehrswissenschaftliche Gesellschaft (DVWG). Furthermore, he serves as Science Manager at the chair, working in this role to utilize project resources, finances, and personnel contracts as efficiently as possible to enable sustainable operations at the chair.
