Maria-Jose is an architect and urban planner specializing in urban housing, social justice, and gender. She has worked across the private and public sectors and later joined the international arena as an urban planner at UN-HABITAT in Nairobi. Her current PhD research explores the potential of intersectionality in strengthening processes of mobility equity. She is currently pursuing a PhD as part of the TUM Mobility Justice research group and is working on three European projects.
