Creating a digital foundation for future-proof mobilityWe are building a digital foundation to comprehensively map mobility in the metropolitan region and to assess the impact and safety of future measures before their implementation. How do we do it?
Targeted method development and digital support for the MCube ClusterWe focus on two methodological priorities: - Data collection: We develop methods and infrastructure for gathering and providing relevant mobility and traffic data. This includes existing datasets as well as precise, high-resolution measurements of air quality and traffic in both time and space.
- Simulation: We model traffic and emissions/immissions in the metropolitan region to digitally represent entire neighborhoods in a realistic way.
To further develop these methods in a targeted manner, we work with two use cases: Together with municipal stakeholders, we examine the impact of mobility interventions on urban emergency services as well as on traffic-related air quality. In addition, the project serves as a digital hub for the MCube Cluster.
