Student Research Assistant Position

We are looking for one motivated Student Research Assistant interested in working on various projects with the research group Travel Behavior. We focus on travel behavior research and transport modeling.

The main tasks are supporting behavioral analyses (e.g. mode choice model estimations) and the development of land use/transport models.

Specifically, we are looking for one student with the following qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of probability theory and statistics
  • Experience with discrete choice modeling and econometric estimations (e.g., Apollo, Biogeme)
  • At least some programming experience
  • Currently enrolled in TUM

The position is planned for 8 hours per week and initially funded for 6 months (hours can be allocated flexibly to some extent). The preferred start date is May 1st 2024. Solid knowledge of the English language is required for the position (knowledge of German is not required). After six months, it is possible to continue working as a student research assistant with the group, subject to the performance of the successful applicant and available funding.
