MCube Speaker Series #14: Mobility (In)Justice

On February 22, 2024, nearly 100 mobility enthusiasts gathered at the Deutsches Museum to explore "Mobility (In)Justice – Why Mobility Shouldn't Solely Rely on Technical Solutions." We introduced the new MCube Mobility (In)Justice Atlas.

Highlights:

- Dr. David Duran Rodas and Dr. Jessica Le Bris presented practical ways to address mobility justice, focusing on the Mobility (In)Justice Atlas and a pilot project in Munich's Piusplatz.
- Dr.-Ing. Ines Kawgan-Kagan stressed the importance of including the female perspective in mobility planning.
- Oswald Utz highlighted the challenges of inclusion in public spaces and advocated for more accessible infrastructure.
- Dr. Johann Sachmann discussed sustainable alternatives to traditional vehicles.

The discussions emphasized the need for diverse perspectives in planning, from gender equality to accessibility. The subsequent panel explored economic and political challenges in implementing mobility justice.
