Jens Hellekes
Jens Hellekes is a Research Associate at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Remote Sensing Technology Institute, and a Ph.D. candidate at the Chair of Transportation Systems Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Constantinos Antoniou. His research focuses on bridging the gap between remote sensing as a supplementary data source and transport research as the primary application domain. In this context, he develops methods for extracting information on both static and dynamic objects from aerial imagery. Furthermore, the work involves the estimation of indicators for traffic monitoring from remotely sensed imagery to enhance data-driven analyses in transport research.
