Hamza Begić

Hamza is a Research Associate and a Ph.D. candidate at the Chair of Transportation Systems Engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), working on the EU-funded SCUDO project under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Constantinos Antoniou since July 2025. His research focuses on developing AI-based methods for predicting traffic disruptions, forecasting recovery times, and designing operational control algorithms to improve the resilience of transport systems across Europe.
Prior to his current position as a Research Associate, Hamza completed a M.Sc. in Data Engineering and Analytics at TUM, while working as a student research assistant at the Cyber-Physical Systems Lab, focusing on motion planning and scenario creation in autonomous driving. He holds a B.Eng. degree in Computer Science and Informatics from the University of Sarajevo (Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina).
