The Chair of Transportation Systems Engineering is very happy to be part of the newly approved Collaborative Research Center (SFB/Transregio) funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - German Research Foundation: “AgiMo - Data-Driven Agile Planning for Responsible Mobility.
Agi-Mo (TRR) is jointly proposed by Technische Universität Dresden (CRC spokenperson Prof. Dr.-Ing. Regine Gerike), Technische Universität München, and the participation of Technische Universität Berlin, Technische Universität Braunschweig, and DLR.
In AgiMo, TSE will lead two projects. In the first project, led by Prof. Antoniou, we will aim to develop a flexible, automated calibration framework for heterogeneous microscopic transportation demand models, addressing challenges related to data heterogeneity, model uncertainty, and transferability. In the second project led by Dr.-Ing. Mohamed Abouelela, we will aim to assess the impacts of extreme transportation policies and explore how innovative stated preference (SP) communication methods can activate values and promote sustainable choices.
The CRC initiative AgiMo represents an unprecedented effort in transportation research in Germany, bringing together a wide range of large-scale, detailed, and upgraded models for analyzing travel behavior outcomes.
In TSE, we are very happy for the new collaboration with the PIs in TUM, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Bogenberger (TUM spokesperson and the CRC Deputy spokesperson), Prof. Dr. Allister Loder, Prof. Dr. Maximilian Schiffer, Prof. Dr. Hanna Hottenrott, Dr.-Ing. Florian Dandl, and Dr.-Ing. Lisa Kessler.
