Iuliia Yamnenko

Iuliia Yamnenko is a Full Professor in the Department of Electronic Devices and Systems at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (KPI), Ukraine. She holds a Bachelor’s diploma in Electronic Systems (1996), a Master’s diploma in Electronics (1997), both from KPI, a PhD in Semiconductor Transformers of Electrical Energy (1999), and a DrSc in Electrotechnical Complexes and Systems (2007), both from National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Her research focuses on electrical engineering, control of energy flows in the systems with the distributed generation of electrical energy, data analysis, and processing, and machine learning, and in her 23 years of experience, she has held key positions in a number of research projects in Ukraine, Europe, India, and the US. Iuliia has a proven track record in attracting competitive funding at both national and international levels. He is/has been PI of research projects CRDF Global and MODA, and has contributed considerably to the preparation of a large number of funded proposals, at the national and international levels.

She has authored over 200 scientific publications, including papers in international, peer-reviewed journals, international conference proceedings, 12 books, 3 book chapters, and 15 patents. She is a member of several professional and scientific organizations, editorial boards (reviewer in the journal «Electric Power System Research», “Microsystems, Electronics and Acoustics”, “Frontiers in Electronics”, program committees of international conferences (such as “Power Systems Computation”, “Modern Electric Power Systems”, Conference on Power and Electrical Engineering of Riga Technical University, “Advancement in Petroleum and Chemical Engineering Technology and Applications”, Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society ІECON, IEEE Conference on Energy Smart Systems). She is/has been a member of Steering Committees of international conferences (such as “Problems of Present-Day Electrotechnics”, IEEE Conference on Intelligent Energy and Power Systems, “Modern Electric Power Systems”, IEEE Conference on Electronics and Nanotechnology, “Electronics”), scientific societies (IEEE Ukraine Section, scientific section “Electronics, radio technique and telecommunications” of Expert Council at Ministry of Education and Sciences of Ukraine).

Iuliia is a certified expert of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in higher education in Ukraine (NAQA), a leader of the expert group, a trainer, and an international expert. She is the head of the group that has developed the national standard for higher education in Ukraine at Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD’s levels by specialties in Electronics, Micro- and Nanosystem Techniques.

She enjoys teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels. She has supervised five PhD students who have defended successfully and is currently supervising three more. She has supervised more than 25 graduate theses and participated in doctoral committees and PhD examinations in KPI.
