Hashmatullah Sadid is a Research Associate and a Ph.D. candidate at Technical University of Munich (TUM) since October 2020.

Sadid acquired his master's degree in Transportation Systems at the Technical University of Munich and his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Kabul University, Afghanistan. He has worked as an Urban Infrastructure and Transport planning Specialist at the office of Senior Advisor to the President of Afghanistan, Traffic Management Specialist at Planet International consultancy, and Transport Planning Lecturer at Salam university.

His research focuses on Autonomous and Connected Transport (ACT) including simulation-based evaluation of ACT deployment scenarios.
