What is mobil.TUM 2024?
mobil.TUM 2024 is the 13th edition of a scientific conference focusing on mobility. The next mobil.TUM will happen in April 2024 and will focus on The Future of Mobility and its interconnection with Urban Space.
When will it be?
The mobil.TUM 2024 will happen on 10. - 12. April 2024 in Munich.
On Thursday, April 11, 2024, a conference dinner is planned. To take part in it, registration has to be done within the registration process (+40 €).
Where will the conference be?
The conference venue is planned at: Design Offices München ATLAS, Rosenheimer Str. 143C, 81671 München. Werksviertel – next to München-Ostbahnhof (Google Maps, OpenStreetMap ). Webpage: Design Office
Who is organizing it?
The Technical University of Munich (TUM) will be hosting it. The organization is done by the TUM Chair of Urban Structure and Transport Planning.
How can I attend?
You are welcome to attend the conference as a guest or as a speaker by submitting an extended abstract. For more information, please have a look at the tab "Call of Contributions". In any case, the registration fees have to be paid.

What are the registration fees?

- Potential participants who require a fee reduction for legitimate reasons are requested to contact us.
- The registration fee covers the costs of admission to the conference, lunch (first two days), and coffee breaks throughot the duration of the conference.

What does the registration fee cover?
The registration fee covers the costs of admission to the conference, lunch (first two days), and coffee breaks throughout the duration of the conference.

I am studying at TUM. Do I get a discount?
B.Sc. and M.Sc. students of TUM receive the early bird discount for students (€ 290,-.) throughout the entire registration period. This fee is valid until the start of the conference. There are no additional discounts.
Till when can I register?
Registration for presenters is open until March 10, 2024 (11:59 p.m.).

Where can I find an template for the extended abstract within the Call for Contributions?
Please prepare the extended abstract using the following template: Word / PDF.
Where can I submit my extended abstract?
Extended abstracts should be submitted through our submission platform: Home – mobil.TUM 2024 - The Future of Mobility and Urban Space. Please be aware that we won't check any abstract sent by email or after the deadline.
In which language has the abstract to be written?
The conference will be held in English. Therefore, your abstract must be written in English.
When is the deadline of submission?
The deadline for the extended abstract submission is on October 31, 2023.
When will I be notified of an admission?
The acceptance notification will be send out in January 2024.
Are students allowed to submit an extended abstract?
Yes, students are allowed to submit an extended abstract. However, it should be understood that the abstract will be reviewed by the scientific committee and admitted accordingly. If accepted, the paper must be presented at the conference.
Will all accepted extended abstracts be invited to submit a full paper?
Accepted extended abstracts won't be invited to submit a full paper. The selection for a contribution for the conference will be based just on the abstract's quality.
How can my paper be published in the Elsevier Journal of Urban Mobility?
If your extended abstract is selected and you are interested in being published in the journal, you will have to send your full paper after the conference. You will have the opportunity to improve your paper based on the comments received during the conference. Please note that the full paper will also go through a selection process. What is the focus of the conference?
The mobil.TUM 2024: The Future of Mobility and Urban Space conference will focus on five different main topics, which are all correlated to mobility and urban space. The main topics are in particular:
- Placemaking to integrate urban space and mobility
- Promoting sustainable mobility choices in metropolitan regions
- Governing responsible mobility innovations
- Shaping the transition towards mobility justice
- System analysis, design, and evaluation

Where can I find the conference program?
The conference program takes place from Wednesday, April 10, to Friday, April 12, 2024. On Friday, April 12 special sessions, such as project workshops and site visits will be planned. More information will be published on the webpage when the event is approaching.

Will there be a conference dinner?
Yes, a conference dinner is plannend for Thursday, April 11, 2024. TO be part in it, please register via the registration website. Attendance costs 40,- €.
