euMOVE 2024

In the summerterm 2024, the Institute of Automotive Technology together with the Chair of Urban Structure and Transport Planning, and the Chair of Innovations Society and Public Policy offer the possibility for students to work on an interdisciplinary student project focusing on research of innovative and sustainable mobility in Europe. The project is supported by the Hans Sauer Foundation and MCube.

Project

As part of the euMOVE project, three teams of four interdisciplinary students are to investigate a mobility issue that is currently affecting the Munich metropolitan region. In a design process supported by the Hans Sauer Foundation, each team will work out a specific problem. In a self-organized excursion (9-14 days), possible solutions in other European countries are then researched. The teams then develop solution concepts and prototypes that can be transferred to Munich. The results are presented to the public in an exhibition at the end of the semester.
euMOVE 2024 is dedicated to the current mobility challenges:

  • Commuting from suburban areas
  • Cycling in the city
  • Distribution of public space

The project members meet at irregular intervals on Wednesday afternoons. The meetings are compulsory for the participants. There is the possibility to write the final student thesis within the context of euMOVE.

The event is held in English.
