Quality management system for the demand responsive public transport

 

Outline

In many cases federal authorities of rural areas are not able to arrange their public transport regarding traffic and quality management. Demand responsive transport is dependent on complex influences which only can be described in a theoretical way. That's why it is essential to get presumptions for the times of circulation and the needed bus capacities, which correspond with the reality. These assumptions are investigated by empirical measurements and counts.

The main aim of this research project is the development of a quality assurance concept for demand responsive transport in rural areas. For this purpose there will be created a quality guideline. The output of a geodatabased data platform will be used for the creation of planning rules for a long-term public transport management.

  • Status analysis and characterisation of the investigation area
  • Determination of planning targets and implementation concepts
  • Development of a geodatabase and data management and evaluation
  • Formulation of planning rules for further projects
  • Preparation of conclusions by a quality guideline
