Development, demonstration and assessment of a method to advance the estimation of the urban traffic situation by fusion of different traffic data. Der Ansatz soll die Integration sämtlicher verfügbaren verkehrlich relevanten Informationen ermöglichen, die zwangsläufig Schwankungen hinsichtlich ihrer Qualität unterliegen.

Erprobung mit lokalen Daten (aus strategischen Detektoren und aus LSA-Detektoren), mit Reisezeiten durch Fahrzeugwiedererkennung (infrastrukturseitig) und mit Informationen aus Positionsmeldungen (Übertragungsintervalle 30-300s).

The improved traffic state estimation makes a case for e.g. a better basis for methods for short-term-prognosis, as well as for the manual or automatic appraisal and choice of methods, recommendations and strategies.
