The AVS Lab is excited to introduce its latest addition: the SID1 – Lite3 Venture quadruped robot from inMotion Robotics. Thanks to the generous support and close collaboration with inMotion Robotics, this state-of-the-art four-legged robot opens up new possibilities for both our research and teaching activities.
The SID1 offers cutting-edge sensors, high agility, and a powerful control platform. At the AVS Lab, we will primarily use the robot for our work in agile motion planning in unstructured environments. Its ability to adapt to varying terrain and dynamic obstacles makes it an ideal platform for our research projects.
The SID1 will also play a key role in teaching: students will have the opportunity to work hands-on on current robotics challenges and test their own algorithms directly on a real-world system.
We sincerely thank inMotion Robotics for the excellent collaboration and look forward to exciting projects and joint developments!
