On August 24, 2022, the first German cargo bicycle congress took place in Dortmund. In exciting lectures, panel discussions and vehicle presentations, we were able to gain insights into innovative cargo bike concepts and logistics systems. This provided important points of contact for current and future research projects, and we were able to exchange ideas with cargo bike experts about the TUM-VT cargo bike simulator. A highlight of the event were test rides with diverse cargo bikes, from single-track, multi-track to four-wheeled cargo transport bikes.

We are looking forward to the second cargo bike congress and until then we will continue to observe the developments in the cargo bike industry with great interest.
