Welcome to the Institute of Sustainable Mobile Powertrains of the Technical University of Munich. The current head of the institute is Prof. Dr.-Ing. Malte Jaensch.

The Institute of Sustainable Mobile Powertrains conducts research the field of sustainable mobility, being open to all types of technology. This includes the whole spectrum of future vehicle drivetrains, starting with internal combustion engines powered by synthetic fuels, hydrogen fuel cells, up to electric drivetrains. Following our institute's long-lived philosopy, we focus on the connection of simulation, prototype development and experimental validation.

The Institute of Sustainable Mobile Powertrains is located in Munich-Moosach, the site includes the test benches, workshops and labs.
