TUM Autonomous Motorsport wins A2RL in Abu Dhabi!

Winner 🏆 🏆 🏆 After a very intense race with ups and downs, we are happy to bring home a big win and first place for the Technical University of Munich from the world's first autonomous multi-vehicle race in Abu Dhabi!  The Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL), launched by ASPIRE, aims to advance research and development in autonomous vehicles and artificial intelligence.

After some stressful weeks of hard work for the team, we had a great time on the track and nice overtaking maneuvers with our beloved competitors from Unimore Racing and PoliMOVE Autonomous Racing Team. A special thanks goes to the organizers of the AbuDhabi Autonomous Racing League for giving us a fantastic show at the Yas Marina Circuit.

My biggest congratulations go to the team who did a fantastic job and should be very proud of their achievement! The TUM Autonomos Motorsport Team consists of 12 PhD students and the three chairs of Autonomous Vehicle Systems (AVS Lab, Prof. Betz), Chair of Automotive Engineering (FTM, Prof. Lienkamp) and Chair of Control Engineering (RT, Prof. Lohmann).
