At the end of our 2023 summer semester, we had a guest from industry visit us in our lecture "Development and Design of Useful Autonomous Vehicles". Dr. Andreas Eisele is an employee of CARIAD, a Volkswagen subsidiary that specializes in the development of software for automotive applications. Andreas works there as a Senior Developer and Project Lead in the area of Predictive Safety Functions, where he develops functions such as the automatic emergency brake assistant. Andreas gave the students a deep insight into the design and development of these important functionalities for today's and future (autonomous) vehicles. We would like to thank Andreas for the visit at TUM and the exciting lecture.
