For the past two weeks, our AVS Lab has been honoured to host a research visit from South Africa from Stellenbosch University. Dr Benjamin Evans, a postdoctoral researcher at Stellenbosch University, is conducting research in Deep and Reinforcement Learning for automated vehicles. Over the last two weeks, we worked together on new ideas and algorithms for the future generation of autonomous vehicles. For this we mainly used our new 1:10 fully autonomous racing car "F1TENTH". We would like to thank Benjamin for his visit and the exchange with our group, we are looking forward to future visits and further cooperation.
