Paid working student position in time series analytics for 1-2 month until October 2022, with the possibility of extension in case of fund availability.

Chair of Transportation Systems Engineering

The chair of Transportation Systems Engineering focuses on performing transportation research surrounding aspects of modeling and simulation of transportation systems, implementation of data science, and data analytics in transport and human factors analysis.

Position description

The position is part of the ongoing research project at the chair. This project aims to analyze open data in transport modeling and traffic predicting and management. 


Essential Requirements

  • Registered as a student at TUM in the SoSe 2022
  • B.Sc. degree in the field of applied mathematics, IT, computer science, data processing, or related fields, or related experience. 
  • Basic knowledge of digital signal processing and analysis of time series data
  • Basic knowledge and experience in data analytics tools in Python programming language, or any similar statistical programming languages
  • Experience using NoSQL, SQL
  • Working knowledge (written and oral) of the English language
  • Willingness to learn new mathematical, analytic and simulation tools

Preferred requirements:

  • Strong computer science fundamentals
  • Experience with version management tools (Git)
  • Experience in using Github, Gitlab
  • Experience with version management tools

Conditions of employment

This paid position could be 1-2 month.
Starting time, preferably in September 2022 until the end of October 2022.
The position can be extended up to three months.
Working hours: 20 hours/week.
