Successful PhD Defense: Dr.-Ing. Ana Rivas De Gante
Her dissertation, “From Research to Practice: A Methodological Framework to Plan, Implement and Assess Street Experiments. A Test Application of the Framework in the Steinhuber Miniblock, Munich”, explores how street experiments can be systematically planned, implemented, and evaluated to support the transformation of urban streets into more liveable and people-centred public spaces.
The work represents an innovative contribution to the field of tactical urbanism by bridging the gap between academic research and practical implementation. Through the development and application of a comprehensive methodological framework, the dissertation provides valuable guidance for researchers, planners, and practitioners involved in urban mobility and public space transformation.
