Remaking the Street Summer School

Are you interested in creating liveable and resilient cities through street redesign and experimentation? ‘Remaking the Street’ Summer School is exactly the experience for you! It is a unique opportunity to participate in a journey that uses the city as an experimental playground to demonstrate how small changes to public space can lead to big impacts on mobility and the city’s inhabitants.

Academics, professionals, and community experts from humankind, Urban Cycling Institute, and TUM Accessibility Planning in collaboration with EIT Urban Mobility mindfully developed the curriculum in a blended format. The first two weeks of the summer school are held online to get acquainted with the theory. The next two weeks (Aug.1-Aug.12, 2022) are going to be spent directly in the centre of two vibrant European capitals - Munich and Rotterdam . We will take you around these cities by cycling, walking, and taking public transport to showcase key locations that were transformed by extraordinary street experiments.

Do you want to learn how to contribute to a street experiment yourself? Then what are you waiting for?
