M.Sc. Maria Zuniga Solorzano

Focus Area

Maria José Zúñiga is an Architect & Urban Planner passionate about social justice and its relation with urban dynamics. She has worked in the private and public sectors and later jumped into the international environment as an Architect & Urban Planner at the UN-HABITAT Nairobi. Her main interest is in urban mobility complexities analysed by the intersectionality and gender inclusiveness approach. She is currently part of the research group Accessibility Planning in the TUM under the "Where to stay? The Citizen Mobility Index" project. Her role is to study and understand how urban networks at different scales can help users better analyse essential mobility parameters that can facilitate their daily activities.
