Recap: Planning for Mobility Justice 09.02.2026
... and what an inspiring evening it was: After a stimulating keynote speech by Mark Harrison, who challenged us to rethink the design of mobility systems and everyday objects, our interdisciplinary student groups presented their work on current challenges of mobility (in)equity. The aim of the seminar was to bring together research findings in the context of a social intervention. The students were extremely creative and developed a website, a magazine, comics, and bookmarks: Take a look at their work here.
Bringing together lived experience, scientific reflection, and practical expertise created exactly the kind of dialogue that the seminar aims to promote. We are very grateful to everyone who accompanied us on this journey and contributed in any way to the first round of the seminar.
♥️ Special thanks go to David Duran Rodas, Gebhard Wulfhorst, Mark and Pam Harrison, María José Zúñiga Solórzano, Evelyn Braun, Matthias Grundei, Lea S. Zuckriegl.
As well as to the participating partner organizations: City of Munich (Department of Mobility, Advisory Council for People with Disabilities, Advisory Council for Senior Citizens), Hans Sauer Foundation, International Building Exhibition Metropolitan Region Munich, Accessibility Advisory Center, ReMIX of MCube – Munich Cluster for the Future of Mobility in Metropolitan Regions, Schwalbe Foundation, Kreisjugendring München-Stadt, Kultur & Spielraum e.V.
