At EWGT in Edinburgh, Prof. Weik presented our contribution on "Infrastructure design for robust operations on railway corridors – Quantifying the combined effects of overtaking tracks and dispatching strategies". The paper assesses the interaction between dispatching strategies and line design and is bound to improve transport planning by jointly considering infrastructure design and operations as a function of the strength of perturbations.
