The TUM Autonomous Vehicle Systems Lab has started a new applied research project together with SAP’s Embodied AI team. The project investigates enterprise-aware embodied AI, with a focus on integrating cognitive robots into SAP-driven business contexts.

The goal is to explore how autonomous robotic systems can understand business processes, reason about enterprise data, and execute physical tasks in a way that supports measurable business outcomes. This includes connecting robotic perception, planning, and action with structured enterprise workflows.

The collaboration brings together expertise in autonomous systems, cognitive robotics, embodied AI, and enterprise software. By combining these areas, the project aims to develop new methods for robots that can operate not only in physical environments, but also within the logic and constraints of real business processes.

We look forward to working with SAP on this applied research initiative and to advancing the role of embodied AI in enterprise automation.
