Prof. Johannes Betz Appointed Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Field Robotics
We are excited to share that Prof. Johannes Betz has been appointed Associate Editor of the newly established IEEE Transactions on Field Robotics (T-FR), the flagship journal dedicated to cutting-edge research in robotics operating in real-world environments.
This appointment recognizes Prof. Betz's contributions to autonomous systems, AI-driven robotics, and field robotics research, and provides an opportunity to help shape the future direction of one of the field's premier scientific journals. As an Associate Editor, he will oversee the peer-review process, support the publication of high-quality research, and contribute to maintaining the journal's scientific excellence.
"Field robotics is advancing rapidly across autonomous driving, aerial robotics, agriculture, marine systems, and planetary exploration. I'm honored to join the editorial team and look forward to working with researchers worldwide to advance impactful and rigorous research," says Prof. Betz.
Prof. Betz joins an outstanding group of newly appointed Associate Editors, including:
- Prof. Ayoung Kim (Seoul National University, Korea)
- Prof. Genya Ishigami (Keio University, Japan)
- Prof. Johann Laconte (INRAE, France)
The IEEE Transactions on Field Robotics, published by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, serves as a leading venue for research on robotic systems operating in complex, unstructured, and dynamic environments.
We are proud to see this recognition of Prof. Betz's expertise and look forward to contributing to the continued growth of the international field robotics community.
